I'm making a scarf for my mom...her birthday had already passed and I was thinking I could make it for Christmas! Then, duh, ...Mother's Day!! She commented how much she liked this scarf a couple months ago. She is aware I am making it. I cast on May 20th.

Also, I forgot to take a picture of the customized Booga Bag I made for my best friend. That, I finished Friday, and gave it to her Sunday. She loved it! As boring as it is to knit with black, I think I will be making myself one later this year.

I finished my Midwest Moonlight a few weeks ago. I lightly blocked between a damp towel, and left it to dry on the bathroom floor. My husband gets up the next morning and picks up one of the towels. No, he doesn't hang it up, he just throws it over the tub edge...not noticing at all that there is another towel on the ground, or strangely, that there is about 8" of my newly knit scarf peeking out. And of all mornings ... one of the cats pigs out ... and gets sick ... on the exposed end of the scarf. So now there is a pale orange stain. Lovely.

pattern: Midwest Moonlight from Scarf Style
yarn: Dream by Marks and Kattens
needles: 4mm/6US
started: March 31, 2006
finished: early May sometime?

I've been wanting to make this felted bag for a while now. I was thinking brown, ivory and pink...too neopolitan? But now I am leaning more towards brown, ivory and aqua. I guess we'll see when I get back from the LYS tomorrow.

The pattern is pretty vague (to me) - it basically says to knit up 5 skeins of Lopi. I need very detailed instructions! LOL! How many rows of brown? How many of ivory? How many of pink or aqua? So now I am just winging it in Patons Classic Wool Merino, and I will probably always think the stripes are out of proportion later when it is done.

Also, I've read from people who have knit this, say it was really BIG as they were knitting! I am finding it on the small side. This might turn out to be a knitting bag if that is the case.

My 7 year old feared she left her Hello Kitty wallet at a Tim Horton's a couple weeks ago. She was distraught. Not about the contents, of course. She wanted her special Hello Kitty wallet back! A couple days later, I found it stuck to the inside of the dryer! (That's right, I don't check pockets when I do laundry). She was so relieved! I decided to knit her a little purse to carry her wallet around without having to hold it. She loves it!!

pattern: I cast on 28sts and followed the instructions from http://mary4169.tripod.com/id45.html
yarn: Sorbetto from idena
needles: 4mm/6US
started: April 28, 2006
finished: May 2, 2006

I have scrapped SO little in the last year and a half! You'd think I'd be shooting out more pages with my love of scraplifting. But, no, it still takes me at least three days to do a page. Maybe it was too much work - being a perfectionist, maybe I became bored, maybe I discovered knitting... ;)

National Scrapbooking Day was on Saturday and 2peas had an online crop. I decided to stay home, pull out the scrapbook supplies, and join in the fun. I didn't accomplish much, but I rediscovered the joy of scrapping. It's been too long! I partook in a Hero Arts challenge, managing to finish this layout at 5am. lol
